To prepare advocates for meetings during the Congressional recess this summer, Rare Disease Legislative Advocates (RDLA) is organizing three regional Legislative Conferences. At these conferences advocates will learn about the legislative process, legislation currently under consideration, and effective advocacy techniques to build relationships with Members of Congress and their staff. Each conference is crafted to educate advocates with little to no political experience and provide useful updates to those with a history of political action. Our aim is to have advocates leave these regional Legislative Conferences with confidence in their ability to make a difference.
