2017 Legislative Conference
The 2017 Legislative Conference was held on Tuesday, February 28th, from 9am to 5pm ET at FHI 360 in Washington, DC. Nearly 350 advocates joined us to learn what to expect from the new Congress and Trump Administration, how to build effective relationships with Members of Congress and staff, and about key legislation for the rare disease community. The conference was crafted to educate advocates with little to no political experience and to provide useful updates to those with a history of political action to ensure that everyone was prepared for a successful Lobby Day.
Below are links to the conference’s printed items, videos of each presentation, and slides for presentations which used them. For additional information on the Legislative Conference or other events from Rare Disease Week on Capitol Hill, visit the event’s home page.
